PROFESSORSHIP IN MORAL AND POLITICAL PHILOSOPHY

Applications are invited for the above Professorship, which is linked to a research group leader position in the HumTec (Human Technology Centre) ethics programme. The programme addresses ethical, conceptual, and technical issues of energy provision and consumption related to the global challenge of climate change.

Candidates must have a Ph.D. Degree in philosophy, and be able to work in an international and interdisciplinary research environment. Candidates should have a strong research focus in the areas of international, intergenerational, and transitional justice. They should also have an international publication record and experience in the acquisition and administration of third party funds.

Research group leaders will have a reduced teaching load and will be expected to participate in the HumTec graduate education program. The position is available for five years, subject to a positive evaluation after four years. Successful group leaders will get a tenured Professorship (W2) at the RWTH after five years.
