Election, appointments, reappointments, and grants of title

The following election, appointments, reappointments, and grants of title have been made:

Election

Professor Katepalli Raju Sreenivasan, B.E., Bangalore, M.E., Ph.D., Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, M.A., Yale, D.Sc., Lucknow, Abdus Salam Honorary Professor and Director, International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy, elected Rothschild Visiting Professor from 1 September 2008 until 4 October 2008.

University Lecturers

Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Dr David Tong reappointed from 1 October 2007 until the retiring age. Dr Gordon Ian Ogilvie, CL, reappointed from 1 July 2008 until the retiring age.

Grants of Title

Affiliated Lecturers

Criminology. Dr Benjamin Crewe, R, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2007 for a further year.

Economics. Dr Sriya Iyer, CTH, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2007 for a further two years.

Law. Mr Bill Allan, Professor Richard John Alexander Hooley, F, Dr Andrew Robert Johnston, JE, and Major General Anthony Peter Vernon Rogers have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2007 for a further year.
