Jesus College

DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT

Jesus College, Oxford is an outstanding centre of teaching and research excellence, attracting exceptional students and staff. It remains dedicated to its longstanding policy of admitting entirely on academic merit and potential.

An exciting new opportunity now exists to join the College as its first Director of Development to drive forward a fund-raising strategy to support, protect, and enhance the College's future. A Fellow of the College, the new Director will work closely with the Principal and other members of its senior academic community to build on the success of the College's established alumni relations function so that income to support agreed priorities grows substantially.

With a strong track record in income generation, particularly major gift fund-raising, the successful applicant will have a creative and resourceful approach to development. He or she will be able to work on a strategic level as well as to facilitate high level gifts, and will bring a confident and intelligent approach to building relationships with senior academics and donors. With a persuasive and sophisticated communication style, both in person and on paper, he or she will have the capability to lead a small team and the potential to thrive in a driven, academic environment.

Further information may be obtained from Lydia Fowler, Candidate Consultant (tel. 020 8392 6654, e-mail lfowler@richmond-associates.com). The closing date for applications is 28 January 2008. Attractive salary and benefits will be offered.
