The managers of the Isbel Fletcher Garden Fund invite applications for the promotion of research in Astronomy from June 2008. Scholarships shall be open to any person who is or is about to be registered as a Graduate Student in the Institute of Astronomy. Funding may be provided to supplement an existing fees or maintenance award or to provide support towards associated costs such as astronomical observing trips or conference attendance.
Candidates should provide a brief description of their research programme, justify the funding requested, and itemize other sources of funding available to them. Applications of not more than two pages are to be submitted to the Director, Institute of Astronomy, Madingley Road, Cambridge, CB3 0HA, by 31 March 2008.
