Applications are invited for up to two postdoctoral non-stipendiary Research Fellowships tenable from 1 October 2008 for two years initially, with the possibility of renewal for a further year. Applicants should be of postdoctoral level or expect to attain it by 1 October 2008, should have adequate financial support from a grant or contract for research, and should normally be resident and conducting their research in Cambridge in any academic field. The successful candidates will be entitled to Fellow's Commons. It may be possible to offer free single accommodation in exchange for certain duties.

Applications should include a current curriculum vitae, a research proposal, not normally exceeding 1,000 words, and the names of two referees, whom the candidate should ask to write directly to the Master, St Edmund's College, Cambridge, CB3 0BN. Short-listed candidates will be invited to submit a substantial piece of work relating to their research for evaluation. The closing date for receipt of applications and references is 18 January 2008. It is hoped to interview on 13 March.
