Hulsean Lectureship: Notice

Applications are invited for the Hulsean Lectureship, for the calendar years 2009 and 2010. The person appointed, who must be a university graduate, will be required to deliver between four and eight lectures on some branch of Christian Theology. The Electors would welcome nominations of suitable candidates.

The stipend is a proportion of John Hulse's benefaction. The gross sum is expected to be in the region of £3,000 a year.

Those who wish to be considered should send to the Secretary not later than 26 October 2007 brief particulars of their proposed lectures, a curriculum vitae, and the names of two referees. Further particulars are available from the following, to whom applications should be sent: Dr P. J. Harland, Faculty of Divinity, West Road, Cambridge, CB3 9BS (tel. 01223 763002, e-mail faculty-office@divinity.cam.ac.uk). An election will probably be made by the end of 2007.
