Christ's College

SENIOR TUTOR

Christ's College invites applications for the post of Senior Tutor in succession to Dr Kelvin Bowkett.

The Senior Tutor is accountable to the Council and Governing Body of the College. He or she will have overall responsibility for admissions, access, and outreach, for overseeing the educational activities of the College, and for directing the pastoral work of the Tutors.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons with relevant experience. Preference may be given to individuals with a background in teaching and research. Candidates should have good inter-personal and communication skills, experience of working as part of a team, and an ability to manage change effectively.

The post is available from 1 October 2008. The successful candidate will be offered appointment prior to that date, to work alongside Dr Bowkett.

The stipend of the Senior Tutor will depend on the qualifications and experience of the candidate. He or she will be elected to a Fellowship of the College and will be eligible for membership of the Universities Superannuation Scheme. The appointment is subject to the College's Statutes and Ordinances.
