Preliminary Examination for Part I of the Oriental Studies Tripos

With effect from 1 October 2007

Papers CP. 4 and JP. 4 are replaced with a single paper covering aspects of both Chinese and Japanese studies, in order to provide a broader foundation for both subject areas.

Regulation 2.

By deleting Papers CP. 4 and JP. 4 and inserting a new subject area:

East Asian Studies:

EASP. 1 Introduction to the history of East Asia.

Regulation 3.

By replacing the entries for whole subjects (b) and (d) with the following:

	(b) Chinese Studies:	CP. 1-3, EASP. 1, Chinese oral.
	(d) Japanese Studies:	JP. 1-3, EASP. 1, Japanese oral.
