Elections, appointments, and reappointment

The following elections, appointments, and reappointment have been made:

Elections

Professor Paul Tucker, B.Eng., CNAA, Ph.D, Sussex, Professor of Engineering, University of Wales, Swansea, elected Rank Professor of Engineering with effect from 1 September 2007.

Professor Martin Kilduff, B.A., M.A., M.B.A., Washington, M.S., Ph.D., Cornell, Professor of Organizational Behavior, Management and Organizational Department, Smeal College of Business, Pennsylvania State University, elected Visiting Professor of Marketing, Strategy, and Innovation from 1 May 2007 until 15 June 2007.

Appointments

University Lecturers

Earth Sciences. Dr Marie Edmonds, M.A., Ph.D., JE, appointed from 1 June 2007 until the retiring age.

Engineering. Dr Garth Nathan Wells, B.E., Western Australia, Ph.D., Delft University of Technology, appointed Hibbitt Lecturer in Solid Mechanics from 1 September 2007 until the retiring age.

Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics. Dr Nathanaël Edouard Berestycki, B.Sc., Université Paris VII, D.E.A., Université Paris VI, Ph.D., Cornell and École Normale Supérieure Paris; Dr Caucher Birkar, B.Sc., Iran, Ph.D., Nottingham; and Dr Benjamin Daniele Schlein, Diploma, Ph.D., ETH, Zurich, have been appointed from 1 September 2007 until the retiring age.

Clinical Lecturer

Surgery. Dr Kourosh Saeb-Parsy, M.A., M.B., B.Chir., Ph.D., F, MRCS, appointed from 1 March 2007 for four years.

Administrative Officer

University Offices (Academic Division). Ms Jane Frances Bloomfield, B.A., East Anglia, appointed from 23 April 2007 to the retiring age, with duties in the Department of Biological Anthropology.
