Readership in Education: Notice

Applications are invited for a Readership in the Faculty of Education. The position offers an outstanding opportunity for an innovative, research-active educator to join a leading national and international centre for educational research, teacher development, and the study of education.

The successful candidate will be expected to make a significant contribution to the Faculty of Education's teaching and research relating to school and teacher development in one or more of the following areas: educational leadership and school improvement, inclusive and special education, pedagogical innovation, teacher education and development.

The Faculty of Education is committed to the highest standards of research and teaching and is a significant contributor to the improvement of educational policy and practice in partnership with schools and other educational agencies both in the UK and internationally.

The post is available to be filled as soon as possible and preferably before October 2007. The pensionable stipend for a Readership is currently £49,116 a year.
