Fitzwilliam College

FELLOWSHIP AND COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN ENGLISH

Applications are invited for the post of College Lecturer in English with effect from 1 October 2007. The successful candidate will be required to teach undergraduates for the Cambridge English Tripos, and may be required to assist with Direction of Studies in English. Applications are welcome from candidates working in any field of English Literature.

The Lectureship is for a fixed period of five years and is not renewable. The College Lecturer will be appointed at a salary of £22,111 with annual increments up to £26,402; the stipend will be pensionable under USS. Cost of living increases in College stipends are made at the same time as comparable increases in University stipends. The successful candidate will be elected to a Fellowship of the College, with which further obligations and privileges are associated. The appointment is subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the College. The College follows an equal opportunities policy. Applications for part-time (or job share) appointments will be welcomed.
