MAJOR GIFTS OFFICER

Clare College seeks a dynamic, self-motivated, and goal-oriented professional to build on the College's strong track-record in fund-raising. Reporting to the Development Director, the post-holder will be responsible for raising £2.5m in major gifts over three years for a new conference and study centre. The role, which could be London-based, will focus on face-to-face visits with potential major donors, involving regular travel within the UK. This is a demanding, full-time job, for which previous experience in a fund-raising or closely related environment, preferably in Higher Education, is desirable. The successful candidate will have a university degree and will enjoy working to demanding targets. Excellent communication, listening, and negotiating skills are essential.

The post is for three years in the first instance, with a salary of up to £32,000, depending on skills and experience.
