The following appointments and grants of title have been made:

Appointments

Professorship

• Professor Christopher E. Rudd, M.Sc., Ottawa, Ph.D., D.Sc., London, FRCPath, FMedSci, appointed Professor of Molecular Immunology from 1 January 2006 until the retiring age.

University Lecturer

• International Studies. Dr Tarak Karim Barkawi, B.A., Washington, M.Sc., London, Ph.D., Minnesota, appointed from 1 July 2006 until the retiring age.

Acting Head of Department

• Medical Genetics. Professor John Robert Watson Yates, CTH, appointed from 1 May 2006 for one year.

Senior Assistant Registrary

• University Offices (Academic Division). Miss Kate Marie-Josephine Allen, B.A., M.A., Oxford, appointed from 12 June 2006 until the retiring age.

Director

• University Offices (Estate Management and Building Service). Mr Michael Robert Bienias, M.A., W, B.A., Oxford, B.L.D., Manchester, appointed from 1 May 2006 until the retiring age.

Senior Computer Officer

• University Offices (Management Information Services Division). Mr John Paul Burnham, M.A., CHU, appointed from 1 May 2006 until the retiring age.

Grants of Title

Affiliated Lecturers

• Divinity. Reverend Dr Donald McFadyen and Reverend Dr Paul David Astley Watson have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2005 for two years.
• Social Anthropology. Dr Monica Konrad, G, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2006 for two years. Dr Martin Timothy Walsh, W, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2006 for a further two years.
