STIPENDIARY LECTURESHIP IN ENGLISH

Applications are invited for a one-year Lectureship in English, with effect from 1 October 2006. The Lecturer will be required to give eight hours of tutorial teaching a week in English, in collaboration with the College's Tutors in English. The Lecturer will be expected to take responsibility for the Finals period papers 1509-1642, 1642-1740, Shakespeare, and those options taken as Special Authors or Special Topics which they are able to teach.

STIPENDIARY LECTURESHIP IN PHILOSOPHY

Applications are invited for a one-year Lectureship in Philosophy, with effect from 1 October 2006. The Lecturer will be required to give nine hours of tutorial teaching a week in Philosophy, in collaboration with the College's Tutorial Fellow in Philosophy, Dr Alexander Paseau. The Lecturer will be required to teach the Final Honour School paper Ethics, and History of Philosophy from Descartes to Kant, and Mill for various First Public Examinations. An ability to teach other papers in value philosophy and/or history of philosophy would also be an advantage.
