Lincoln College proposes to elect a non-stipendiary post-doctoral Research Fellow in the area of Humanities (Modern Languages, History, English, Philosophy, Archaeology, and Ancient History) for one year in the first instance from 1 October 2006. The Fellowship may be renewed for a second year, and is open to both men and women. The Fellowship is intended to give someone who has recently finished their doctorate the chance to continue scholarly research in Oxford, together with the possibility of undertaking some undergraduate teaching for the College in the relevant area, for which separate payment will be made at the standard rate.

Applicants are requested to provide evidence of financial independence in their applications. The successful applicant will have access to single occupancy College accommodation at his or her own expense.
