Third Joint Report of the Council and the General Board on the ownership of intellectual property rights (IPRs): Notice of a ballot

Members of the Regent House are reminded that the Council announced in their Notice of 25 July 2005 (Reporter, 2004-05, p. 994), that a ballot was to be held on the proposed regulations to govern intellectual property rights (IPRs) and that the following Grace (Grace 1, p. 14) would be submitted to the Regent House on 5 October 2005.

Grace 1 of 5 October 2005

That the regulations to govern intellectual property rights in the University set out in the draft Ordinance attached to the Council's Notice of 25 July 2005 (Reporter, 2004-05, p. 994) be approved.

In accordance with Regulation 9 of the regulations for Graces and Congregations of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 110) written proposals of amendments to this Grace, accompanied by the signatures of at least twenty-five members of the Regent House who support the proposal, should be sent to the Vice-Chancellor by 4 p.m. on 14 October 2005. Amendments received will be considered by the Council at their meeting on 24 October when the Council will also approve a timetable for the ballot.
