FORBES COLLEGE LECTURESHIP IN WELFARE, PUBLIC, OR HEALTH ECONOMICS (FIXED TERM)

Applications are invited from women and men for a College Lectureship in Economics at Newnham College. Newnham College has a strong tradition in the teaching of Economics. Candidates should have active research interests in welfare economics, public economics, or health economics.

This appointment is made possible by a generous donation; it will be for five years and is fixed term. It is hoped that the successful candidate will take up the post from 1 January 2006, or as soon as possible. The salary will be fixed at a point in the range between £22,000 and £24,820 a year, depending on experience.

The successful candidate will be expected to direct studies, to share in the selection of candidates for admission to the College, to provide small group teaching in microeconomics at all undergraduate levels, and to offer teaching in their specialist field/s to final year undergraduates.
