THE ANGLO-DANISH SCHOLARSHIPS - ACADEMIC YEAR 2005-06

The Anglo-Danish Society invites applications from postgraduates of either:

(a) Danish nationality for scholarships tenable at universities or other approved institution in the United Kingdom. Candidates' first degree should be from a Danish University; or
(b) British nationality for scholarships tenable at Copenhagen, Aarhus or Odense universities or other approved institution in Denmark.

In all cases preference will be given to applicants who have either embarked on postgraduate research leading to a higher degree, normally a Ph.D., or who are assured of being able to do so in the academic year following the submission of their application.

The Scholarships, which are intended only to be a supplement to students' own income, will run for a period of up to six months from the beginning of the next academic year, or such other date as might be approved. Each is valued at £250 per month. Academic and residential arrangements are the responsibility of the student. Successful applicants are requested to submit a short report to the Society on the work undertaken during the period of study.

Application forms are available from the Secretary of the Anglo-Danish Society, Mrs Margit Staehr, Keats Avenue, Littleover, Derby, DE23 4ED (tel: 01332 517160, email: margit@staehr.fsworld.co.uk), between 1 October and 31 December 2005. The closing date for acceptance is 12 January 2005. Please enclose a stamped addressed envelope or International Reply Coupon.
