Margaret Munn-Rankin Fund for Assyriology: Notice

Statutes and Ordinances, 2005, p. 807

The Faculty Board of Oriental Studies invite applications for the Margaret Munn-Rankin Memorial Studentship in Assyriology. Applicants should be registered, or have applied for admission, as graduate students in the University, for a higher degree course within the field of Assyriology or a closely related field. The grant will be deployed by the University to meet the university tuition fees of one or more applicants in whole or in part, and its value will be the income of the Fund for the year in question, or the full amount of the fees payable for the year in question, whichever is less. The Studentship will be awarded for one year at a time, and the same applicant shall not receive the award on more than three occasions.

In any year in which the Studentship is not awarded, the Managers of the Fund will consider making small grants in aid of research in Assyriology and closely related fields to members of the University. The closing dates are 31 May and 31 December annually: application forms are available from the Faculty Administrator at the address given above.
