Director of Judge Business School and Professor of Management Studies: Notice

Judge Business School is seeking an outstanding leader to be its next Director when Professor Dame Sandra Dawson steps down next year. The Director will also be a Professor of Management Studies, and as such will play a major role in the development of this discipline overall in the University.

Judge Business School has achieved considerable success since it was established in 1990. After its rapid growth, the institution is now ready to expand further, realigning its mission, brand, portfolio of activities, fund-raising, and development strategies. Judge Business School is highly ambitious.

Candidates may come from a variety of backgrounds, but will have strong academic credibility and significant management experience. Previous experience at a senior level in a leading business school would be valuable, as would a track record in successful fund-raising. The ability to promote Judge Business School both nationally and internationally throughout this next phase of growth and change is of great importance. Huge energy and enthusiasm coupled with powerful communication and ambassadorial skills are essential. This is an exciting and challenging time to lead Judge Business School. The appointment will be subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the University.

To apply for this position, or to receive further particulars of the appointment, please contact Claire Lane, Heidrick & Struggles International, 3 Burlington Gardens, London, W1S 3EP (tel. +44 20 7075 4000, e-mail clane@heidrick.com). The closing date for receipt of applications is 26 September.

The University is committed to equality of opportunity.
