With effect from 1 October 2005

The regulations have been amended (i) to clarify the choice of papers which students may take in Part I and (ii), in Part II, to allow students to borrow Paper Fr. 6 'French literature, thought, and history, from 1510 to 1622' from the Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos. The Faculty Board have confirmed that no student's preparation for the examination in 2006 will be disadvantaged by these changes.

Part I

Regulation 16.

By replacing options (c) and (d) with a new option (c):

(c)two papers from among Papers 2-4; two papers from among Papers 6-10; and one paper from among Papers 11-13.

and re-lettering option (e) as (d).

Part II

Regulation 18.

By adding the following new Paper 20, renumbering subsequent papers accordingly, and amending cross-references:

Paper 20. French literature, thought, and history, from 1510 to 1622 (Paper Fr. 6 of the Modern and Medieval Languages Tripos).
