Project in the School of the Biological Sciences (Accelerated Experience Scheme)

The School office is seeking a project manager to co-ordinate proposals to realize value for money across the School. Several potential schemes are highlighted in the School's Strategic Plan, beginning with animal house costing, prior to Full Economic Costing.

The post is ideal for any Administrative Officer wishing to gain broad experience from a School perspective. Duties will include data gathering across eleven animal facilities for assessment by a costings Subgroup; background research for the School's Finance Foresight group (reporting to its Secretary); and preliminary analysis with the School's Finance Manager.

The post is flexible - full or part time (for example, three days a week over three months). If the candidate is successful, further project work can be made available.

While the post offers in-depth liaison with many Departments, detailed knowledge of the School/Biological Sciences is not required. The position builds on earlier projects where experience has already been gained across the School. The post-holder will also become a temporary member of the School of Biological Sciences Administrators Group. Full information is available from the Secretary of the School, Karen Douglas (tel. 01223 766837).

The post-holder's salary will be reimbursed to provide temporary cover under the terms of the Accelerated Experience Scheme (details available from Ian Hewes, tel. 01223 765079).
