Candidates should ask their referees to write direct to the Senior Tutor or e-mail their references to college.office@univ.ox.ac.uk by that date. Interviews will be held in the week beginning 13 June (subject to confirmation).

STIPENDIARY LECTURESHIP IN PHILOSOPHY

The Lecturer must be able to teach: (1) First-year General Philosophy; (2) At least two of the following second-year subjects: History of Philosophy from Descartes to Kant; Knowledge and Reality; Ethics; (3) One or more of the other third- and fourth-year options. An ability to teach Ethics is highly desirable.

The salary will be on the stipendiary Lecturers' scale, currently from £13,780 to £15,880 for a nine-hour session (pay award pending). The Lecturer will have a teaching room in College and will be entitled to the common table (lunch and dinner in College except Wednesday lunch times).

Applications, including a curriculum vitae and the names and addresses of two referees, should be sent to the Senior Tutor, University College, Oxford, OX1 4BH, by 3 June.
