ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER/RESEARCH ASSISTANT IN THE CENTRE FOR HISTORY AND ECONOMICS

Applications are invited for a full-time Administrative Officer/Research Assistant at the Centre for History and Economics, based at King's College, for work in connection with the Centre's research programmes on 'Partnership and Security', 'Foundations of Democracy', and 'Coexistence, Religion, and the Political Imagination'. The programmes, which are supported by the Rockefeller Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and others, will involve activities mainly at Cambridge over the period spanning 2005-08. Participants in the programmes are based at different universities, in the UK and elsewhere, and will be working on a variety of topics. The appointment will be for one year (renewable), with a probationary period of three months. Internet, word-processing, and strong organizational skills will be needed. The salary will be attached to the appropriate University Scale, depending on qualifications, age and experience.
