PART-TIME COUNSELLOR

Churchill College seeks to appoint an experienced part-time counsellor to co-ordinate the College Counselling service, liaising with the GP practice at Huntingdon Road and others. The Counsellor will provide individual counselling sessions by appointment and will hold a drop-in session at least once a week.

The appointment will run from 26 September and is on an annual basis. The Counsellor will be contracted on a self-employed basis for nine hours per week for 45 weeks of the year. Seven weeks of the year are treated as unpaid holiday. Payment is £31.54 an hour and is increased annually in line with academic salaries.

The Counsellor will have undertaken formal training and be accredited by the British Association of Counselling or registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy. The person appointed is expected to be a member of a professional body, such as the British Association of Counselling.
