Graces submitted to the Regent House on 16 March 2005

The Council submit the following Graces to the Regent House. These Graces, unless they are withdrawn or a ballot is requested in accordance with the regulations for Graces of the Regent House (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 105), will be deemed to have been approved at 4 p.m. on Friday, 25 March 2005.

1. That, on the recommendation of the General Board, the Professorship of Communications be retitled as the Professorship of Computer Technology.1

2. That, on the recommendation of the Library Syndicate, the Librarian be allowed to lend the following items:

(i)to the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford for the exhibition 'Pilgrimage - The Sacred Journey', from 10 January to 2 April 2006, manuscript Add.1643;
(ii)to the British Museum, London, for the exhibition 'Kabuki Heroes on the Osaka Stage 1780-1850', from 30 June to 11 September 2005, Shiba gakuya zue, classmark FJ669.2 and Ehon hana momiji akiha-banashi, classmark FJ722.1.2;
(ii)to the Deutsches Historisches Museum, Berlin, for the exhibition 'The Jews of Europe in the Middle Ages', from 23 April to 28 August 2005, the manuscript Add. 1198.3.
