TARMAC GRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP 2005

Jesus College proposes to award one prestigious, fully funded Scholarship, generously endowed by Tarmac, for postgraduate study and research on natural resources in the fields of the physical and social sciences (including Geography and Law), with effect from October 2005 for three (or in certain cases four) years.

The Scholarship is restricted to applicants from Poland or the Czech Republic.

Each year, the Scholarship will cover a maintenance allowance for a single person (currently £10,500 a year), University fees at the EU rate, and College fees. Grants will be available towards research travel, books, and other research costs.

To apply, candidates must make two applications at the same time.

Candidates must apply to the University to read for the Doctor of Philosophy degree, naming Jesus College as their chosen College and the Jesus College Tarmac Scholarship as their proposed source of funding. Please see the University's Web pages at http://www.admin.ox.ac.uk/gsp/apply/ and its Graduate Prospectus for details of how to apply.
