FIXED-TERM DARBY FELLOWSHIP IN MODERN HISTORY

Lincoln College invites applications from postdoctoral graduates or from graduates in the final stages of completing a doctorate, either men or women, for a five-year fixed-term non-renewable Darby Fellowship in Modern History with effect from 1 October 2005 to 30 September 2010. The Darby Fellow will be required to provide up to twelve weighted hours' tutorial teaching a week averaged over the academical year.

The Darby Fellow will be required to teach a range of courses including ninteenth- and twentieth-century British history. He/she would also be expected to participate in admissions and carry out general pastoral responsibilities.

The salary offered currently ranges from £23,643 to £27,989 a year plus Full Common Room rights, a hospitality credit, access to the College Research and Equipment Funds, and membership of USS.
