Brasenose College

TUTORIAL FELLOWSHIP/TITULAR UNIVERSITY LECTURESHIP IN ENGLISH

Brasenose College proposes to elect a Tutorial Fellow in English (period 1509-1832), with effect from 1 October 2005, or as soon as possible thereafter. The Fellowship is associated with a titular University Lectureship (CUF), which the University may at a later stage convert into a stipendiary post; meanwhile the College will pay the full stipend. The salary scale is age-related, reaching a maximum of £45,707 at age 45, plus additional benefits and allowances.

SENIOR TUTORSHIP AND OFFICIAL FELLOWSHIP

Applications are invited for the new post of full-time Senior Tutor, with effect from 1 September 2005, or as soon as possible thereafter. The position offers an exciting and challenging professional opportunity as the College develops its role within the University.

The Senior Tutor will be an Official Fellow and member of the College's Governing Body. He or she will be responsible for overseeing the entire range of the College's academic activities, including the development of policy, arrangements for admitting and teaching undergraduates, graduate admissions, and relations with University and external bodies. The position involves no teaching or research duties, but candidates should be strongly sympathetic to academic values and concerns, and have experience of administration or management in an educational context.

Salary will be according to qualifications and experience (£37,558-£42,573) or, in exceptional cases (minimum £43,315), plus additional allowances.
