SCHOOLS LIAISON AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Girton College is seeking to appoint a Schools Liaison and Development Officer to assist the College with its aim to widen access to the University, to develop contacts with schools in identified areas, including Birmingham (in collaboration with Newnham College), and to support the Development Office in its fund-raising activities.

This is a new appointment in the College and provides an ideal opportunity for a graduate (or someone with an equivalent level of qualification) to gain experience of setting up systems and developing new contacts.

An ability to relate to a wide range of people is essential, as are good organizational and administrative skills. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and use of databases is essential, plus knowledge of the Cambridge collegiate system and the UK charitable/philanthropic sector is desirable. The post-holder will be required to travel outside the Cambridge area on a regular basis and to work outside normal office hours when required.

The salary is in the range of 19,460 to £21,640 a year, the appointment is full time, and is for a fixed term of two years. 34 days paid annual holiday leave and other benefits are offered.
