Graces to be submitted to the Regent House at a Congregation on 11 December 2004

The Council have sanctioned the submission of the following Graces to the Regent House at a Congregation to be held on 11 December 2004:

That the following person be admitted to the degree of Doctor of Philosophy by incorporation:

1. PETER LIPTON, Fellow of King's College, Hans Rausing Professor of History and Philosophy of the Sciences, Doctor of Philosophy of the University of Oxford (1989).

That the following persons be admitted to the degree of Master of Arts under the provisions of Statute B, III, 6:

2. JOANNE RUTH KEELEY, of Newnham College, Assistant Director of University Biomedical Support Services in the School of Biological Sciences.

3. SYLVIA HUOT, Fellow of Pembroke College, Reader in Medieval French Literature in the Department of French.

4. JAMES SWEENEY, Fellow of St Edmund's College.

5. MARTIN STEFAN, Associate Lecturer in the Faculty of Clinical Medicine.

6. FELICITY JANE FISHER-HUNT, of Selwyn College, Administrative Officer, Grade I, in the Academic Division of the University Offices.

7. MICHAEL SONENSCHER, Fellow of King's College.

8. ANNE CHRISTINE DAVIS, Fellow of King's College, Professor of Theoretical Physics (2002) in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics.

9. ROSALEEN ANNE MCCARTHY, Fellow of King's College, University Senior Lecturer in the Department of Experimental Psychology.

10. WILLIAM EDWARD BURGWINKLE, Fellow of King's College, University Lecturer in the Department of French.
