APPOINTMENT OF PRINCIPAL

The Fellows of Newnham College are seeking to elect a new Principal in succession to Baroness Onora O'Neill, who retires in August 2006. The role of the Principal is to provide leadership and to promote and represent the College in the University and more widely. Candidates should be of academic or professional distinction, and have a commitment to excellence in teaching and research and the careers and educational opportunities of women.

The Statutes stipulate that the post be held by a woman. The Fellows would welcome enquiries from women suitably qualified for the post.
