UNIVERSITY LECTURESHIP IN PHILOSOPHY AND TUTORIAL FELLOWSHIP AT ST PETER'S COLLEGE

The Faculty of Philosophy and St Peter's College invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above post starting 1 October 2005. Applicants' primary research interests must be in the British Empiricists and/or Kant. The Faculty of Philosophy and St Hilda's College invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the above post starting 1 October 2005. The area of specialist research is open; there are subject-area requirements for undergraduate teaching which are specified in the further particulars. Salary will be according to age, on the University Lecturer scale currently up to £45,707 a year; additional College allowances are payable. Under the College's Statutes, St Hilda's College only admits women students and only women are eligible to hold a Fellowship at St Hilda's College. Fellowships at the other Colleges are open to men and women.

The closing date for receipt of applications for each post is 12 November.

In each case, applicants must have received the degree of Ph.D. or equivalent by 1 October 2004. Subject to eligibility, candidates may apply for any number of these posts in any combination: each post requires a separate application, which must be sent to the Philosophy Faculty Administrator for the Lectureship in Philosophy and Tutorial Fellowship at St Peter's College, and for the other posts to the relevant College.
