Report of the Council on certain administrative offices: Notice

28 June 2004

The Council have considered the remarks made at the Discussion on 8 June 2004 (Reporter, p. 856) of their Report dated 24 May 2004 on certain administrative offices (Reporter, p. 714). The Council have noted the remarks made by Professor G. R. Evans.

The Report recommended that general approval be given to the proposals contained in it, in particular that statutory provision for the offices of Secretary General and Treasurer be repealed, and that detailed legislation on the lines set out in the Report should be submitted for later approval. The Council believe that it is appropriate for these proposals to be submitted for approval and they are therefore submitting a Grace (Grace 4, p. 900).
