On Monday, 23 February, at 8.30 p.m. in the Cockcroft Lecture Theatre, New Museums Site, Professor E. Salje, FRS, of the Department of Earth Sciences, will deliver a lecture entitled Fast chemical transport along twin boundaries: ferroelastics as chemical reaction chambers.
At a meeting held on 9 February, Professor H. Ahmed, President, was in the Chair.
Sixty-five Fellows were elected and four were re-elected.
Professor M. J. Warren, of Queen Mary, University of London, delivered a lecture entitled The maddening business of King George III; psychological, porphyria, or poison? A vote of thanks was moved by Dr Alison Smith.
