DONALD HENRY NORTHCOTE, Sc.D., FRS, Emeritus Professor of Plant Biochemistry; Master of Sidney Sussex College, 1976-92; Emeritus Fellow of Sidney Sussex College, 1992-2004, Honorary Fellow of Downing College, 1976-2004, died on 7 January 2004, aged 82 years.
