The following persons have been appointed in the manner prescribed by Ordinance to preach before the University during the academical year 2004-05.
24 October | The Revd Myra Blyth, Deputy General Secretary of the Baptist Union. |
7 November | Professor Graham Stanton, The Lady Margaret's Professor of Divinity, Fellow of Fitzwilliam College (The Lady Margaret's Preacher, Commemoration of Benefactors, Scarlet Day). |
6 February | Professor Averil Cameron, Warden of Keble College, Professor of Late Antique and Byzantine History in the University of Oxford. |
6 March | The Revd Brian Hebblethwaite, Fellow of Queens' College (Hulsean Sermon). |
1 May | Professor Nicholas Boyle, Professor of German Literary and Intellectual History, and Fellow of Magdalene College. |
15 May | To be announced. (Ramsden Sermon, Pentecost, Scarlet Day.) |
University Sermons are delivered in Great St Mary's Church at 11.15 a.m. on the Sundays stated. The Congregation are invited for refreshments with the Preacher at Michaelhouse after each Sermon.
