Hughes Hall offers the following scholarships and bursaries. Special consideration will be given to applicants for scholarships and bursaries who, on their application forms, nominate Hughes Hall as their College of first preference.
The President's Awards, to encourage educational opportunity, are worth up to £1,500 a year and are open to home, EU, and overseas undergraduates and Affiliated Students. They are renewable for a second and third year.
The President's Award for Medicine is for students on the Cambridge Graduate Course in Medicine. The award covers the University fee in the first year of the course.
Ten Elizabeth Cherry Research Students' Scholarships, worth £500 a year, are open to applicants intending to read for the Ph.D. and to Ph.D. students in their second or third year. Special consideration will be given to Bas of the College. The Scholarships may be held for up to three years.
The Hughes Hall Commonwealth Studentships and the Hughes Hall Overseas Studentships are worth £500 for the first year and £250 for each of the subsequent years. They are open to undergraduate and Graduate Students.
Hughes Hall Bursaries, in the range of £150 to £500 a year, are open to UK undergraduate, affiliated and graduate students. They are renewable for a second or third year.
Grants are available to assist with travel necessary for research.
The College has limited funds for students suffering financial hardship arising from unforeseen situations.
