The following appointments, grants of title, and reappointments have been made:
Professor Wolfram Schultz, B.A., Dr. med., Heidelberg, Wellcome Principal Research Fellow, appointed Professor of Neuroscience from 1 October 2002 until 30 September 2011.
Anglo-Saxon, Norse, and Celtic. Dr Paul Russell, M.Phil., D.Phil., Oxford, appointed from 1 January 2004 for three years.
Architecture. Dr Andreas Schafer, M.Sc., Ph.D., Stuttgart, appointed from 1 September 2003 for three years.
Engineering. Dr Nedunchezhian Swaminathan, B.E., Coimbatore, India, M.E., Bangalore, Ph.D., Boulder, Colorado, appointed from 1 September 2003 for five years.
Psychiatry. Dr Howard Anton Ring, B.Sc., M.B. B.S., M.D., London, MRCPsych, appointed from 1 September 2003 until the retiring age.
Engineering. Mr Philip Miles Guildford, M.A., JE, appointed from 1 August 2003 until the retiring age.
Council of the School of the Humanities and Social Sciences. Professor Martin James Daunton, CHU, appointed from 1 July 2003 for two years.
Plant Sciences. Professor John Clinton Gray, R, appointed from 1 July 2003 for five years.
Social and Political Sciences. Dr Jacqueline Lilian Scott, Q, appointed from 25 June 2003 until 10 July 2003.
University Offices (Secretariat). Ms Nicola Rogers, M.A., JE, appointed from 1 October 2003 until the retiring age.
Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Ms Ann Tasker, M.A., ED, appointed Departmental Secretary, Grade B, from 1 July 2003 until the retiring age.
University Offices (Management Information Services Division). Mr David Sandham appointed from 1 January 2003 until the retiring age.
Language Centre. Mr Saimon Thomas Clark, B.A., Anglia Polytechnic, appointed Computer Officer, Grade IV, from 1 July 2003 until the retiring age.
Music. Mr Timothy Charles Brown, CL, Dr Jeremy Robert Varker Thurlow, R, Dr Peter John Tregear, F, and Dr Geoffrey Andrew Webber, CAI, have been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2003 for a further two years.
Computer Laboratory. Professor Ian Malcolm Leslie, CHR, reappointed from 1 October 2004 for five years.
Earth Sciences. Professor Ekhard Karl Hermann Salje, CLH, reappointed from 1 August 2003 for five years.
Other Languages. Mrs Elzelina Gretha Cornelia Strietman, NH, reappointed from 1 October 2003 until 31 December 2003.
