Amendments to certain regulations following the establishment of the School of Clinical Medicine: Notice

Following the establishment of the School of Clinical Medicine on 1 January 2003, the General Board have approved amendments to certain regulations as follows:

Institute of Biotechnology (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 578)

Biotechnology Syndicate

Regulation 1.

By relettering classes (b)-(h) as classes (c)-(i) and amending cross-references accordingly and by inserting the following new class (b):

(b) one person appointed by the Council of the School of Clinical Medicine;

Director of Biotechnology

Regulation 1.

By amending class (b) so as to read:

(b) two persons, one appointed by the Council of the School of Biological Sciences and one appointed by the Council of the School of Clinical Medicine;

University Biomedical Support Service (Statutes and Ordinances, p. 617)

Regulation 2.

By amending classes (b) and (d) so as to read:

(b) the Chairmen of the Councils of the Schools of the Biological Sciences and Clinical Medicine;

(d) three persons appointed by the Council of the School of the Biological Sciences, one after consultation with the Council of the School of Clinical Medicine and one after consultation with the Medical Research Council;

Regulation 1.

By deleting class (f), relettering classes (g)-(l) as (f)-(k), and amending cross-references accordingly, and by inserting in class (e) after the words 'Biological Sciences,' the words 'the Council of the School of Clinical Medicine,'.
