Notice by the University Bellringer

On Sunday, 1 June 2003, on the eve of the fiftieth Anniversary of the Coronation of Her Majesty the Queen, the following members of the University rang a Quarter-Peal of 1350 Changes of Mersey Ferry Treble Jump Minor:

2. Dr F. H. King, M

3. Mr P. J. Earis, CL

4. Mag R. A. Smith, CL

5. Mr A. J. W. Tibbetts, CTH (conductor)

6. Mag J. D. Shanklin, M

This is the first time a treble jump method with glide symmetry has ever been rung to a quarter-peal.
