The following appointments and reappointments have been made:
Classics. Dr William Fitzgerald, B.A., Oxford, Ph.D., Princeton, appointed from 1 January 2004 for three years.
Medicine. Dr Frances Clare Hall, B.A., B.M., B.Ch., D.Phil., Oxford, MRCP, appointed from 1 March 2003 for five years.
University Offices (Secretariat). Mr Andrew Michael Hickley, M.A., East Anglia, appointed from 18 August 2003 until the retiring age.
Materials Science and Metallurgy. Dr Jonathan Simon Barnard, B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D., Bristol, appointed from 26 May 2003 until the retiring age.
Computing Service. Ms Monica Gonzalez-Rubiños, B.Sc.Econ., Wales, appointed Computer Officer, Grade II, from 1 June 2003 until the retiring age.
Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics. Dr Alexey Shadrin reappointed from 1 September 2003 until the retiring age.
