The following lectures will be open to members of the University and others who are interested:
Criminology. Professor George Mair, of Liverpool John Moores University, will give a public lecture in Room B16, Faculty of Law, West Road, entitled The new governance of the Probation Service: where do Chiefs stand? on Thursday, 29 May, at 5.30 p.m.
Oriental Studies. Dr John Kieschnick, of the Academia Sinica, Taiwan, will lecture on Buddhism and the history of the Chinese Chair, on Thursday, 29 May, at 5 p.m., in the Faculty of Oriental Studies, Sidgwick Site.
