The Tanner Lectures for 2003, entitled Beyond the social contract: toward global justice, will be given by Professor Martha Nussbaum, in Lady Mitchell Hall (unless otherwise stated) as follows:
Wednesday, 5 March
Capabilities and the mentally disabled. 5 p.m.
Thursday, 6 March
Human capabilities across national boundaries. 4 p.m.
Capabilities and the world of nature. 5.45 p.m.
Friday, 7 March
All day seminar from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Umni Theatre, Robinson College.
Professor Nussbaum will be joined by Professor Amartya Sen, of Trinity College; Professor David DeGrazia, of George Washington University; Professor Leslie Francis, of the University of Utah; and Professor Eva Feder Kittay, of the State University of New York at Stonybrook.
