Medical and Veterinary Sciences Tripos, Part II, 2004: Notice

The Faculty Board of Biology gives notice, in accordance with Regulation 29 for the Medical and Veterinary Sciences Tripos, of the following subjects, and restrictions on combinations of subjects, for Part II in 2004.

Subject to any restrictions announced in a particular year by the Faculty Board under the provisions of Regulation 29(a), candidates are required to offer in the examination for Part II of the Medical and Veterinary Sciences Tripos:

(a) a combination of subjects comprising five written papers, provided that every candidate shall include among the subjects offered either one four-paper subject or at least one two-paper subject, and

(b) a dissertation, which shall be submitted in accordance with the provisions of Regulation 31.

All subjects make provision for candidates to offer a dissertation.

The subjects available are listed below, together with the name of the Department offering the subject (which may be consulted for advice). If a minimum number of candidates is required before a subject can be offered, or if there is a limit on the number of candidates who can be accepted for a subject, this is indicated.
