Lucy Cavendish College

FELLOW AND COLLEGE LECTURER IN SOCIAL AND POLITICAL SCIENCES

Lucy Cavendish College invites applications from women* for a Fellowship and College Lectureship in Social and Political Sciences, with effect from 1 October 2003. Lucy Cavendish College admits women of 21 years and over as undergraduates and graduates. The successful candidate will have interests in teaching and research in Social and Political Sciences, preferably sociology, and will be expected to teach across a range of undergraduate courses. Experience of teaching mature students would be welcome. The successful candidate will also be appointed as Director of the Centre for Women and Leadership at Lucy Cavendish College and therefore the College seeks someone with appropriate and relevant experience.

The appointment will be for three years in the first instance with the possibility of renewal for periods of five years at a time, and is subject to the Statutes and Ordinances of the College which include residence requirements.

The stipend of the College Lecturer, which can be pensionable under USS, will be at a point on a scale beginning at £21,125 a year, depending on age and experience.
