NON-STIPENDIARY JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS

Wolfson College invites applications for non-stipendiary Junior Research Fellowships.

The Fellowships, which are without limit of subject, are tenable for one year from 1 October 2003 and renewable up to a maximum tenure of three years.

Candidates shall normally be aged not more than 30 on 1 October 2003, but consideration will be given to persons over this age if they began their research at a significantly later age than usual, or if they have interrupted their careers for family or other reasons. Candidates will either have a doctorate or will have made substantial progress towards a doctorate or an equivalent qualification by October 2003.

Candidates must produce satisfactory evidence that they have adequate financial support for the duration of their Fellowship before they take up their Fellowship. The Fellowships do not cover the cost of bench fees or other University fees or laboratory charges.

Intending candidates should submit fully detailed applications on forms available from the President's Assistant, Wolfson College, Cambridge, CB3 9BB (tel. 01223 335936) or downloadable from the Wolfson College website at http://www.wolfson.cam.ac.uk/. The closing date for applications is Tuesday, 14 January 2003.

Selected candidates will be asked to submit written work. They will be invited to do so by 24 January 2003 and the submission of work will be required by 7 February 2003. Short-listed candidates will be informed by 3 April if they have been selected for a final round of interviews. These interviews will be held on 10 April 2003.
