The Faculty Board of Divinity shall have power to issue two Certificates of the Board, entitled respectively the Certificate in Theological and Pastoral Studies and the Certificate in Theology for Ministry, to any student, whether a matriculated member of the University or not, who is a member of Ridley Hall, Wesley House, Westcott House, Westminster College, the Margaret Beaufort Institute, the East Anglian Ministerial Training Course, or the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies, and who has satisfied the Examiners in the Cambridge Federation Examination in Theology.

2. There shall be a Committee of Management for the Cambridge Federation Examination in Theology, responsible for both Certificates, which shall consist of:

(a) two members of the Regent House appointed by the Faculty Board of Divinity;
(b) two persons appointed by the Council of the Cambridge Theological Federation;
(c) not more than three persons co-opted by the Committee, provided that it shall not be obligatory for the Committee to co-opt any person or persons.

Members in classes (a) and (b) shall be appointed in the Michaelmas Term to serve for three years from 1 January next following their appointment. Members in class (c) shall serve until 31 December of the year in which they are co-opted, or of the following year, as the Committee shall determine at the time of their co-optation.

3. The Committee shall elect annually one of their number as Chairman and one as Secretary.

4. The Committee shall have the following duties in respect of the Cambridge Federation Examination in Theology:

(a) subject to the approval of the General Board, the Faculty Board of Divinity, and the Council of the Cambridge Theological Federation, to determine the course of study leading to the examination for each of the Certificates and to prescribe the scheme of the examination;
(b) to appoint Examiners for the examination, provided that such Examiners shall always include (i) one or more External Examiners, and (ii) one person nominated by the Faculty Board of Divinity, who shall be either a University officer in the Faculty of Divinity or the holder of a teaching office in Theology in a College of the University;
(c) to determine the fee to be paid by candidates for the examination for each Certificate.

The fee, which shall be determined from time to time by the Council of the University, shall entitle the candidate to attend University lectures during any term in which the candidate is not paying a University Composition Fee.
