Election

Dr S. Hochgreb, B.S.M.E., São Paulo, M.A., Ph.D., Princeton, Managing Engineer, Exponent, Inc., USA, elected Professor of Experimental Combustion from 1 June 2002.

Computer Officer

University Computing Service. Mr F. A. N. Finch, B.A., T, appointed Computer Officer, Grade II, from 10 June 2002 for five years.

Archaeology. Dr P. T. Miracle, JN, reappointed from 1 January 2002 to the retiring age.

Physiology. Dr I. M. Winter, JN, reappointed from 1 April 2002 to the retiring age.

Grant of Title

History and Philosophy of Science. Dr I. Singh B.A., M.A., Pennsylvania, Ph.D., Harvard, has been granted the title of Affiliated Lecturer from 1 October 2002 for two years.
