Professor PIET VAN DER LOON, M.A., K, University Lecturer in the Faculty of Oriental Studies, 1949-72, and Honorary Keeper of the Chinese Books in the University Library for over 40 years, died on Wednesday, 22 May 2002, aged 82 years.
